Hollywood Neighborhood Info

Northeast Portland's Hollywood District, or "Hollywood," is a lively neighborhood. Many shops and restaurants line Sandy Boulevard and Broadway Street, forming the commercial core of the neighborhood. The area's best-known landmark, Hollywood Theatre, is famous for screening historic and independent films.

Hollywood District got its name from the Hollywood Theater, built in 1926 at the end of the silent-film era (the name of which was undoubtedly associated with Hollywood, California). However, there's an exciting twist to the plot. Before the construction of the theater, the neighborhood was called Holyrood, named after the Scottish capital in Edinburgh. After the impressive 1,500 seat luxury theater was built, folks transitioned to calling the area Hollywood.

Residents love the Hollywood Farmers Market, a seasonal farmers' market which runs from May through November on Hancock between 44th and 45th Ave.

Each property listing above includes details about the price, year built, size of the home and the lot (square feet), number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, and other vital details. You’ll also be able to check the number of days it has been on the market (DOM), the MLS number, and the listing status (active, pending, or bumpable).

Review exterior features like swimming pools, yards, fences, and landscaping. Listings will also specify the architectural style of the house and if there are any views. Interior features like heating and cooling systems will be itemized. If any appliances or other personal property are included with the sale, those will also be noted.

When available, local information will be included along with Hollywood schools, nearby amenities, and a map.
