Northeast Portland's Humboldt Neighborhood borders Overlook, Piedmont, King, and Boise. The district sits between I-5 and 99E, though its eastern border abuts Rodney Ave, not 99E between N Skidmore to the south St and NE Ainsworth St to the north.
Humboldt is a young-skewing, urban, and hip area and home to Portland Community College's Cascade Campus.
North Killingsworth Street runs through Humbolt and the PCC campus - It is where one finds bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and craft beer shops in the neighborhood.
Residents of Humboldt can also take advantage of the busy commercial area of Mississippi Avenue, which sits inside nearby Boise Neighborhood. This area is trendy and has many locally-owned shops, restaurants, artsy craft stores, coffee shops, and more.
