King Neighborhood Info

King is a neighborhood in Northeast Portland, Oregon bordering Boise and Humboldt to the west, Woodlawn to the north, Vernon and Sabin to the east, Eliot and Irvington to the south. King neighborhood sits between NE Rodney Ave and NE 14th PL from west to east and NE Fremont St and NE Ainsworth St from south to north. King straddles Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard from Ainsworth Street to Fremont and is at one end of the Alberta Arts District.

King neighborhood residents enjoy some of the district's amenities such as the green space at King School Park and King Portland Farmers Market right across the street from the park. It is an extension of the primary farmers market at PSU and is one of the smaller farmers markets in Portland, but it became King residents' favorite go-to place for fresh produce and dairy products. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, boutique stores, and yoga studios on NE Alberta St, a trendy commercial area in the Alberta Arts District.
