Madison South Neighborhood

Northeast Portland's Madison South Neighborhood borders the Roseway, Sumner, Cully, Parkrose, Montavilla, and Rose City Park neighborhoods. The neighborhood is located literally in the corner of I-84 and I-205 intersection on the northwest quadrant.

Madison South has a lot of green space, including Rocky Butte Park, an inactive volcanic cinder bone, Glenhaven Park, Hancock City Park, and Rose City Golf Course. On the north side of Rocky Butte Park is the Grotto, a Catholic nature sanctuary.

Home prices in Madison South are quite affordable. The residential areas feel suburban and spread out. Streets tend to have fewer trees compared to other Portland neighborhoods, though. The upsides of living in Madison South include lower housing prices and easy access to two major freeways and public transportation.
