Maplewood Neighborhood Info
Maplewood is a suburban neighborhood in Southwest Portland on Multnomah County’s western border with Washington County. Maplewood is a relatively small neighborhood surrounded by Hayhurst to the north, Hillsdale to the east, Multnomah to the southeast, Garden Home to the west, and Ashcreek to the south.
Maplewood and its surrounding neighborhoods have an abundance of trees and rolling hills. These districts have a rural vibe while being relatively close to Downtown Portland.
Two tributaries of the Tualatin River and Fanno Creek traverse the area: Woods Creek and Vermont Creek. There are large green spaces throughout the neighborhood, too.
Schools that serve the neighborhood include Maplewood Elementary School, a K-5 school in the Portland Public Schools district, and St. John Fisher, a Roman Catholic school. Maplewood residents may attend Portland Public Schools Robert Gray Middle School (grades 6-8) and Wilson High School (grades 9-12) near the neighborhood.
