Northwest Portland is one of the most desired areas to live in Portland because of its upscale residential neighborhoods and easy commute to Downtown Portland and Pearl District.

To be clear, Northwest Portland refers to the collection of neighborhoods and subdivisions in the northwestern region of Portland, Oregon, not the Northwest District or Nob Hill, which are two neighborhoods (of many) that comprise Northwest Portland. Does that make sense?

Northwest Portland is the most expensive region in which to live and also one of the most diverse in terms of housing stock. Properties here range from historic homes and mansions on acreage to high-rise condo buildings in the busier, urban districts of Downtown Portland and Pearl District. Because of variation in these neighborhoods, Northwest Portland is home to some of the most and least densely populated areas of the city.

Northwest Portland is also home to Forest Park, a 5,000+ acre wooded area containing some of the best outdoor activities in Portland, including over 30 miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking, and bird-watching. Visitors come from Portland and farther away to Forest Park on weekends to enjoy the outdoors.

Not only Northwest Portland offers nature, but it is also home to some of the coolest neighborhoods such as Pearl District, Downtown, Nob Hill, Northwest District, Old Town/Chinatown, and their eclectic mix of retail stores, restaurants, breweries, and more.
