Reed is a Southeast Portland neighborhood that sits just north the Reed College campus. Eastmoreland borders this small district to the south, Brooklyn to the west, Creston-Kenilworth to the north, and Woodstock to the east.
Reed neighborhood is home to many Reed college students; in fact, about 65% of the population here attend the college and rent. Once, this area was the site of Lambert Gardens but was replaced by housing in 1968. Reed has Trader Joe’s located on SE 39th Ave and Gigantic Brewing, a popular local brewery. It is a quiet residential neighborhood with cozy single-family homes.
