Sumner Neighborhood Info
Sumner borders Parkrose to the east, Maywood Park to the southeast, Cully to the west, Roseway to the southwest, and Madison South to the direct south. I-205 forms its eastern border.
Most folks know the district from passing through it on the way to or from the Portland International Airport and Cascade Station, large outdoor shopping mall.
Sumner is a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial uses. The residential area sits south of Highway 30B, which is south of the railroad. Anything north of the railroad is commercial and industrial. Sumner itself has no parks in the neighborhood, but directly south of the community sits Rocky Butte Park, a large green space with scenic trails and a natural area.
