Woodstock Neighborhood Info
Woodstock borders Eastmoreland to the west, Creston-Kenilworth to the north, Mt. Scott-Arleta, and Brentwood/Darlington to the east. Woodstock neighborhood sits between SE 39th Ave and SE 60th Ave, and its northern border is SE Holgate Blvd. The southern boundary is irregular. One-third of the southern border runs down to Johnson Creek, whereas two-thirds borders SE Henry St and SE Duke St.
Woodstock neighborhood is one of the oldest communities in Portland. It was platted in 1889. From time to time, homes dating back to the 1880s will come on the market.
Locals here enjoy Woodstock City Park and the business district on SE Woodstock Blvd, where one can find New Seasons Market, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. The commercial area in Woodstock centers around anchor store New Seasons Market, and it stretches about four to five blocks on SE Woodstock Blvd. Everything is close together, and most daily errands don't require traveling all over town.
This neighborhood is mostly residential. Most homes here are single-family, detached homes in architectural styles like Bungalow, Old Portland, Foursquare, Tudor, and Colonial. There are also multi-unit residential homes located near Woodstock Blvd.
Three schools serve the Woodstock area, including Woodstock Elementary School, Lewis Elementary School, and Our Lady of Sorrows Elementary School.
